Workplace Diversity Important In Medical Sales

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

One of my articles got published in an Australian blog called School Friends.  The fact that students are already exposed to such topics as diversity, which is what the article was about, means that they are already thinking about their future careers.  Good for them!

Since professionals in the medical scene are so diverse, workplace diversity training will be very important in medical sales and related fields.  See the article at Workplace Diversity Training.

Both Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon logos have been added to our pharmaceutical sales website on the page regarding the printed soft cover book “How To Get A Dream Job In Pharmaceutical Sales – Direct Inside Advice and Guidance From a Sales Manager”.  Both logos are clickable and will take you right to the page at these online retailers showing the book.  Of course, the ebook and audio versions are available only through the website directly but many online book retailers like Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon carry printed books by Clint Cora.

New Year’s Resolutions For Pharmaceutical Sales Jobs

Monday, December 28th, 2009

As a hopeful pharmaceutical sales rep, will you be making any New Year’s resolutions about this time?  If not, is it because you have failed in the past?  Or if you do make them, do you still find that you usually don’t succeed with them?

If these scenarios sound familiar, it’s because they are very common among most people when it comes to New Year’s resolutions.  Like most people, I’ve had successes and failures with New Year resolutions as well but I decided to study why sometimes I’ve succeeded and why I’ve failed other times.

I wrote an article that goes into this in more depth as I reveal two real life past experiences I had including one where I won my very first karate world championship practically with a broken leg.  See the article at Successful New Year Resolutions.

By the way, yes, I think it’s a good idea to make New Year’s resolutions for your hunt for pharmaceutical sales jobs as well as other areas of life.  The industry is usually on hiatus during the last two weeks of December anyway so it’s a good time to plan.

Sell Photocopiers To Break Into Pharmaceutical Sales Jobs?

Monday, December 21st, 2009

There has been some discussion that one way to eventually get pharmaceutical sales jobs is to do a stint selling photocopiers to businesses first.  This is rather interesting. Although selling photocopiers is sales experience, which always helps as part of your background, it is a very different type of sales environment.  In some cases, it will work and in some, it won’t.  To see my pharmaceutical sales management position on this particular route to getting a position with a pharma company, see my article on Sell Copiers to Break Into Pharmaceutical Sales Jobs.

Pharmaceutical Sales Careers and Business Degrees

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

If you are a business degree graduate in college or university and have some type of interest in health care, you may want to consider pharmaceutical sales careers.  Although there will be a lot of scientific and medical training involved to be an effective pharmaceutical sales representative, those who studied business in college can indeed get into this industry successfully.  Here’s my full article on pharmaceutical sales careers and business degrees.
